8 Fun Activities to Do in Philadelphia with Your Kids in June

School is almost out, and summer fun is right around the corner. Between summer camp, beach trips, pool membership, and family vacations, your schedule is packed, and your wallet feels it. But fear not; I’ve compiled some exciting ideas you can do with your kids this June that your kids will adore. Here is my list of 8 Fun Activities to Do in Philadelphia with your Kids in June.

Every weekend from June through Sept. 1, bring the kids to the farm market and enjoy summer with live music, local brew beer, wine, cocktails, and tasty bites. The best part is the ice cream! Grab a picnic table and relax while the kids play on the playground.

Strawberry Festival Jun. 1 – Jun. 15
Enjoy the farm’s fields full of yummy strawberries. Pick some fresh berries and take wagon rides. The kids will love to make their own strawberry slushies and chocolate-covered strawberries. This makes an excellent day for the whole family.

Jun. 9
Visit America’s largest street festival in my old neighborhood. This festival spans 12 blocks and features unique crafts, food, and drinks. The shows are also unique and lots of fun to watch. The kids will love running around the triangle and playing in the fountain.

 

Pride at the Park

Jun. 15 at Narbarth Park
Enjoy drag story time, live music, and vendors for this fun youth-led celebration featuring LGBTQIA+. There will be live performers and music.

Jun. 19
The African American Museum presents its Juneteenth block party, celebrating the legacy of Emancipation. This festival features live performances from international and local artists, a community marketplace, vendors, food trucks, and more. The kids will love the hands-on activities, including art-making and line dancing! Sign me up!

Concilio’s Hispanic Fiesta

Sat. Jun. 22 and Jun. 23
Stop by the Great Plaza at Penns Landing for a fun day of music, dance, entertainment, and crafts celebrating Latin culture. Remember to enjoy some of that food. I’m already thinking of Empanadas.

Jun. 27
In Philadelphia
From the city to the burbs – a Philadephia favorite day! Grab your free hoagies at Wawa’s historic day celebrating our local heroes. Wawa will serve hoagies at noon at Independence Mall. While grabbing your lunch, enjoy the music of the String Soldiers of the United States Army String Band. To top off the celebration, the Constitution Center will feature free admission for the day. So bring your picnic baskets and blankets and enjoy those hogies.

Jun. 24
One of my favorite things to do when I summon the summer is bring whole families to this fun event. This event is full of fun activities, giant inflatables to DJ, and live music. The kids will love the interactive Live science games and remember to get the food!
